Waterfalls at stream bordering land
We are in the process of buying land above Hilo, Hawaii (Big Island) for a sustainable agricultural community based on worldwide indigenous eco-spiritual principles and practices, primarily Native American and Polynesian.
Currently, we are looking for shareholder/partners and/or investor/backers who believe in our vision and want to help us complete the purchase of this tropical paradise communal land.
The land is 20+ acres, zoned so that we can build an (organic) agriculturally driven eco-village. It already has 3 new homes, all on solar, and the equipment to install a hydroelectric system which will allow us to become a model of off-grid sustainability. The soil is 30' deep and will grow anything.
We intend to use a combination of bio-dynamic ag, aquaculture, permaculture, agroforestry, and cross cultural edible organic gardening principles.
The land is a rectangle with views of Hilo town and the ocean. One long border of the property is a year around stream with three 50-70' waterfalls and natural springs.
Our Pacifica Indigenous Grandmothers Council will invite indigenous elders to teach their lifeways through workshops at the Indigenous Institute of Holistic Health, our on-property Cultural Center.
We also intend to have programs for elders to mentor at-risk youth, teaching them to grow their own organic food, as well as understand the core principles and dynamics that will assist them to lead healthy lives.
We are a community of people dedicated to replenish and renew Mother Earth and All Our Relations in every way possible. We believe in ceremony and celebration as natural ways to invite, deepen and express our connections to each other and all Life.
As we have come to understand that there are only two things in life ~ Love and fear ~ we choose Love. We respect and honor the diversity of each culture, with the understanding that each culture holds a piece of the common puzzle, and no culture holds it all. Therefore, we invite people of all nations to share and discuss values and beliefs, in order to find the common good.
We do have structure and guidelines, and all new non-partner members will apprentice for one year before making a final commitment to become a permanent community member.
If you see yourself as a potential partner/shareholder or as an investor or philanthropist who would love to support our vision, please contact Rev. Robin Youngblood at robin.yngbld@gmail.com for further information.
