Communauté de Caulmont - ecumenical christian community
Communauté de Caulmont at the heart of the people of God
a welcome for all,
a friendly ecumenical communion
an accomodation place for your next stay for individuals, family, small groups ( until 25 pax )located in the lovely Ardèche mountain ( 1100m high) in south France - Ardèche 90 miles away from Lyon
Caulmont is a religious association recognised by the French Religious Associations law of 1905 « la Communion » whose call is to ecumenical prayer and welcoming guests, and by so doing, radiating the light of the Gospel.
The Caulmont Communion is neither a church nor a parish. It is a gathering of men and women from every Christian denomination.
The members of this commune, scattered throughout France and in a few neighbouring countries, are also members of the « Community » (See right).
They live out the call of Caulmont to an ecumenical welcome in their own churches and in their local communities.
Together they invite you to share with them this joyful calling to prayer and open welcome for all. It's an opportunity to experience or to deepen our experience of the ways in which Christian denominations can come together in unity.
Caulmont is also a hospitality association, recognised by the 1901 law, « la Community » called to welcoming all, seeking to serve the needs of tourism and creating a place of fellowship and support.
The live-in team, lead by two families, invite you to come and experience :
- An open welcome for individuals, families and groups; for a time of relaxation and leisure, of meeting and sharing with others, of reflection, of retreat and of practical work.
- A free invitation to daily prayer, where the words used are simple but rooted in traditional liturgy. Prayers take place every day in the chapel.
- The fellowship and the simple, peaceful way of life that we share here in this old and fascinating house, far away from the bustle and noise of the town.
An opportunity to meet and share with other men and women in a friendly atmosphere.
