The Burr Oak Center for Durable Culture (BOC) is an intentional community dedicated to the education of the community-at-large on permaculture, sustainable living and alternative energy. Located in western Iowa’s beautiful Loess hills, BOC is committed to the philosophy of community building and sustainable development through peace and green living. As an off-shoot of TRACES, a World War II history educational organization, BOC takes its responsibility to educate to the next level, learning from the mistakes of the past to guide our future. Recurring internship, resident educator and support staff positions are available to interested parties. Call us at 712.353.6661 or email us at admin@traces.org to join efforts for a sustainable future!
