Harmony House Herb Pharm
Lincoln, Nebraska,
United States
Harmony House is an cooperative urban homestead in Lincoln, NE, in the historic South Bottoms. We have a primary focus of growing medicinal herbs in a holistic way that facilitates community and empowerment. We are intentionally age-inclusive and strive to be a free learning space for children. Harmony House is a feminist, anti-oppressive, spiritual-inclusive space as well as a place for mothers to find solidarity.
We want to offer workshops and study groups on different subjects including ancient modalities of healing, botany, wildcrafting, DIY healthcare, spirituality, and social issues. Right now, we offer a work-trade for fresh medicinal herbs, prepared medicines, eggs from our chickens, and other goods. We are open to the idea of primitive communal housing, as the main house is little more than 500 square feet.
Harmony House is now part of a large project called Fatbottom Farm- an urban farm located in Lincoln, NE. FF emphasizes permaculture practices and sustainable living (beekeeping, aquaculture, fermentation, etc.) It consists of the Harmony House property and another property on the same city block, where four more folks live helping to expand our resources and skill base. We have weekly house meetings, work on a consensus model of decision making, and typically have a blast. Come visit us! And if you are looking for a work-trade, please contact us :)
