We are a spiritual community. We are currently seeking like-minded individuals and families to join us in building a solid foundation as a sustainable spiritual community that is also a natural healing center, school, and home for orphans and families in need.

Visitors Accepted

Visitor Process: Please read through our website www.Awakening-Soul.org and then email us at 1AwakeningSoul@gmail.com to set up a good time to visit. We ask $20 per person donation for day/overnight visits; and $10 for a day visit with lunch.

Statement of Housing Non-discrimination:

Our community does not discriminate in regards to housing based on race/color, national origin, religion, sex/gender, family status (i.e. having children, not having children, or being pregnant), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, ancestry, source of income, age, creed, personal appearance, political affiliation, HIV infection, military/veteran status, unfavorable military discharge, gender identity or expression, receiving public assistance, or being the victim of domestic abuse.

Population Members(adults and children): 12 Non-member Residents: (We have an internship and healing program.) Open to new members: Yes (We are seeking our tribe)	Government Decision Making: By consensus Identified Leader: No Leadership Core Group: Yes	Labor and Money Financial Style: Partial income sharing (We would eventually like to see 100% sharing) Open to Members with Pre-existing Debt: Yes Labor Contribution: Expected (Everyone is expected to participate in the work of the community. We all are expected to participate in the various projects, chores, and income producing ventures.) Join Fee: No (We start out all potential community members as interns.)
Land and Buildings Rural (12 acres in the mountains, surrounded by virgin rainforest. 15 minute walk to small village.) Area: 12 acres (4.9 hectares) Land Owned By: Another form of Non-profit Number of Residences: 4 (We currently have one main community house, and a few cabinas. We plan to continue building, as needed.)	Food, etc. Percentage of Food Grown: 21-50% (We are consistently planting crops and trees. The vision is to be as sustainable as possible.) Share Community Meals: Nearly all meals Dietary Choice or Restrictions: Diet is up to each individual (We share all meals. We are sensitive to any dietary needs or restrictions of individuals.) Dietary Practice: Omnivorous (Some community members choose to eat organic eggs, dairy, fish, and occassionally meat. Others are vegans or vegetarians. We honor all choices.) Alcohol Use: Seldom used (We occasionally have some beer or wine. In general most of us do not drink alcohol.) Tobacco Use: Seldom used (It is a personal choice. We ask that there is no smoking around the main community areas.)	Social Factors Common Spiritual Practices: Yes (We strive to lead a conscious spiritual life in complete surrender to the Most High.) Which Spiritual Traditions(s): Eclectic (integrates pieces from many religions) Educational Style(s): Home schooling
