Nomads
San Bernardino, California,
United States
(Nomadic- around North America. No single location.)
Nomads is seeking travelers to join a caravan. We're seeking fellow nomads who have their own self-contained RVs or camping accommodations (such as tents or yurts) and want to build a relaxed, informal group of companions for shared adventures. Those with rural land which can be used for members' camping are especially needed, but all are welcome. Even if you don't have a camper, please be in touch-- another traveler might have extra space or gear.
Our vision is to develop a group of laid-back travelers (families, singles, couples, whoever) who all live together without discrimination, stereotyping or cliques. Where our children would be protected and loved as a child by everyone else and their children would seem like our own. Non-violence and respect are necessary, and egos should be left at home. Individuals would be expected to contribute in equal ways and are expected to socialize together as an extended family. A sense of humor is a must to deal with the challenges of nomadic life! Life is too short to sweat the small stuff... let's build a group that feels like family.
We have properties in Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Texas for long-term boondocking, and we set up camp on BLM and National Forest lands where permitted. Nomads need to have their own funds to cover fuel, food, and other expenses, but we'll try to buy in bulk and pool our expertise. Camping grounds will be free or low-cost, and mostly off-grid. If you like the idea, please contact Jeff or Christine. Details will be worked out as we go along.
