Spring Haven Farm
Imagine a 10 acre organic garden, in southwest Michigan, bordered by green housing of your design (including an existing horse pasture and barn) surrounded by 50 rolling acres of lodge pole pine and hardwoods, wetlands, springs a clean flowing stream and a spring-fed pond.
These 60 acres of diverse environment and trails are bordered by state land on three sides. You'll also have access to an additional 20 acres that we own and have our home on.
We are interested in developing a community that Carolyn Baker, author of Sacred Demise, Walking the Spiritual Path of Industrial Civilization's Collapse and Sally Erickson, producer of What A Way To Go: Life At The End Of Empire, describe.
"We define community in this context, to be a congregation of people who have, by the commitment and skills they possess, learned to establish relationships characterized by trust, understanding, mutual respect, and bonding, that transcends personality and allows and even embraces differences of background or ideology".
A community of 5-7 families who bring diverse sets of skills and a passion for sustainable farming.
