Digger Street
North Cairns, Queensland,
Australia
Digger Street is an emerging Artist In Residence project currently encompassing four large Queenslanders. It houses around 20 artists from a variety of diciplines.
Digger Street aims to create a sanctuary for the artist to immerse themselves in their art. Situated in the tropics where balmy winter days make way for the tempest of the wet. Focus is encouraged in the direction of the artist and the land both physically, emotionally, creatively. Digger Street, is a self-funding residential space used primarily to house artists and their passion.
Digger Street is an in-residence arts project in Cairns - Far North Queensland. Working along communal lines and administered by an association, Digger Street offers short term residencies for those that wish to pursue their art in a uniquely Australian Way.
