Maplewood NJ Cohousing
Maplewood, New Jersey,
United States
(Essex County)
A cohousing community may be forming soon in Maplewood, New Jersey, which is a village in northern New Jersey in the New York metro area (30 minutes from midtown Manhattan by train).
The site is two blocks from Maplewood village and the train station, and is very easy walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and public schools. It is near extensive recreation facilities (rec center, tennis courts, softball fields, etc.). It's ideally located for urbanites who are seeking a little more space and nature.
The project will be a multifamily building of approximately 35 units on a site of slightly less than an acre. It will be a green building, almost certainly LEED certified.
Status: Awaiting municipal approval for the site
