Rainbow Cottage
Phoenix, Arizona, AZ,
United States
Rainbow Cottage is seeking progressive, open-minded individuals who love Nature, and who wish live a sustainable life-style in a metropolitan area. Former experience in sustainable living and/or Permaculture a plus but not necessary. Although all the amenities of city life are readily available, the fruit trees, herb and vegetable gardens create an oasis of greenery for those seeking a slower, more balanced pace of life.
The small 1948 brick house has been made more energy efficient with insulation, dual-pane windows, and solar tubes. There are three bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a living room, dining room and a kitchen. In the garden is a gazebo with a sitting and eating area, washing machine, and outdoor shower for warmer weather. Limited camping space is available in the garden for short-term visitors. An extended community of non-residential members is also encouraged.
