To Be Decided
Peterborough and Surrounding Area, Ontario,
Canada
This community is only in the forming stages of developement, but we hope to carry it beyond this stage as soon as possible.
We are attempting to live out a dream that we have been thinking about for several years now, the 'we' being my wife and I, and our soon to be first child.
We are both tired of a society that breeds unhealthy individualism, self-centered-ism and materialism and desire to do something new which strikes at the root of the above prevailing attitudes.
We will take our cue from both ancient communites like those found in Acts, and modern ones like the Simple Way (now Potter Street), Ruba Place Fellowship, and L'abri fellowships.
We are aware that many will see our vision as exclusive but hope that will not hinder people from asking us questions about it. We will seek to centre our lives around the truth of the Bible and seek to live out the love the Jesus has called his church to portray. There will be basic statement of faith that those interested in joining will be requred to read and adhere to.
My hope is that this community will be one that seeks to demonstrate the love that we often talk about but rarely see. To live out a holistic, authentic faith expressed in intentional community.
Since we are in our beginning stages, there are many questions still to be answered and dreams to be dreamed, but having a core group of people will be such a HUGE step to start with.
Peace and we hope to hear from you soon!
