Lakeside Collective
Seattle, Washington,
United States
Monsantos boat projecto
We are an awesome collective house in North Seattle. We are 8 people, three free roaming cats, and a continual flow of wonderful guests. We work jobs for money, but we mostly work to create a strong and stable cooperative community!
We are currently looking for a new member that is actively and intentionally seeking to live collectively, share resources, eat together, and put energy into new projects! **If you're just looking for a room to rent, this is not the house for you. Also,we are not interested in any new animal companions at this time**
If you are interested in our house, please send us an email answering the following questions to begin the our membership process:
1. What is your name and preferred gender pronoun?
2. When are you looking to move in/how long are you interested in living at Lakeside?
3. Tell us a little about yourself and what excites you about living at lakeside?
4. When are you available to come over?
=Our Values=
Community Accountability and Collective Liberation
=Practices to Enact these Values=
Mutual Aid, Egalitarianism, Openness, Responsible Freedom
=Our Community=
We are dedicated to maintaining a positive group culture with respect to the other members of the cooperative. We have weekly house meetings, monthly collective liberation dinners, create delicious vegan meals together, share projects, contribute energy into keeping the collective beautiful, and enjoy kitchen dance parties! We have a shared bank account and make decisions about how we spend $$ collectively.
=The House=
The house is private with tons of garden and wild space on a one acre site. We have wild fruit trees, an exploding garden, and room for projects. Our porch is huge with an outdoor kitchen and a view of Lake Washington. There are seven rooms, one member living in a bus, and tons of extra spaces and cool stuff like a garage, dance floor, apothecary, drag and costume closet, a film projector, indoor and outdoor fireplace, bat house, and a mural of Neuschwanstein castle. Yes, a castle.
We are in Lake City, on the Burke-Gilman and near several bus lines (75, 41, 65, 71, 72, 64, 522).
love & solidarity,
the lakeside collective
