Micah Village
Veguita (Outthere), New Mexico,
United States
Hi Spring has almost sprung and we have started plants to put in the garden. The weather was cool and now is starting to warm up. Micah Village has LOTS of room for gardening. This year we hope to grow for our needs and for sale. If you like gardening this is the place to be this year. We have a market and hope to sell to the public and to start a tree nursary to help with funding the community.
Residency at Micah Village is open to people seeking to rid themselves of city life or want a peaceful place to regain their life.
Housing is limited, however if you have your own RV or tent or want to camp under the stars we do have openings.
We do request that if you have an income and can contribute, to contribute to the success of this ongoing community. We have been here in Central NM for more than 12 years and would like to see a strengthened community where each person respects him or herself and others .
The Village offers an opportunity for teaching and learning skills including alternative building, art, healthy living, parenting, life skills, communication skills and living skills that go back to ancient times. Sometimes we share campfires, meals and travel, mostly locally.
Micah village is located in Central NM between Belen and Socorro, just a few feet away from US 60. We are located about 7 miles east of I-25 exit 175 east on Hwy 60 just past Mile Marker 172.
Contact us and expect communication from one or more of the residents here regarding Visiting or joining us.
Micah Village is located in central New Mexico. It has beautiful views of 6 mountain ranges.
The philosophy here is that people should be able to be in control of their own being without preventing others from being in control of themselves. Our hope is to live in peace and harmony with nature and others.
Micah Village works on the principle of each adult should know what needs to be done. (see Rousseau) We believe that if each person does what he/she knows is best, life will be easy for all
