La Ecovilla
San Mateo, Alajuela,
Costa Rica
(Costa Rica)
La Ecovilla is a unique project...
The Goal is clear and simple: To live in harmony with nature, with those who surround us, and with ourselves.
La EcoVilla offers a new concept in Sustainable Urban Development in balance with the planet. Through the practice of diverse techniques for food production, the use of alternative energy, management of waste and recycled black and grey water systems, and cutting edge environmental architecture, La EcoVilla sets a new standard for natural living.
In La Ecovilla not only you can live; you can also learn. Courses and seminars will be offered on different techniques to achieve the most precious goal of all people: being in harmony with ourselves. Plus we will have a school for our kids
The name La Ecovilla means The Ecovillage in Spanish.
La EcoVilla is situated San Mateo of Alajuela, in the western side of the city of San José, Costa Rica.
This excellent location allows you to live in the middle of nature only a short distance of hospitals (CIMA), schools, malls business centers and the pacific beaches. We do have "the best climate in the world", with an average temperature of 77 F, all year long.
Warm during the day and refreshing at night to be able to enjoy a good rest.
Another of the benefits of its strategic location is the short distance from all the attractions of Costa Rica, like beaches, volcanoes, forest and hot springs.
