Urban Vision
Wellington,
New Zealand
We are a contemporary Order following Jesus on the margins. We currently have 7 distinct geographical communities in areas of need around Wellington, New Zealand. Members of Urban Vision covenant each year to the following three fold commitment:
* deepen intimacy with Christ Jesus, Lord and Saviour
* journey with Urban Vision community in increasing wholeness and integrity
* reveal God’s loving justice in this world, and especially amongst the poor and marginalised in our neighbourhood.
So, in some ways we tick all the boxes of the 12 marks of new monasticism, as well as ticking a lot of the boxes of what might be a New Friars movement. Within the Anglican church we are known as a Fresh Expression.
