This is a forming intentional community based on the Russian Dacha model so that eco-conscious city dwellers of any income are able to have their own little low-impact plot of land in the country to live on and grow veggies, each at their individual level of commitment. The plan is to build around fifteen to twenty 10x10 Modern, Prefab, MD 100 studio/houses designed by Edgar Blazona. Dachniks would own/lease a 10x20 plot with a very basic 10x10 house/studio on it [cost: $1500 + sweat equity: priceless] Some of us would visit on weekends or whenever to garden, relax with family and friends, get away, have big potluck dinners, frolic, discuss, find inspiration, make music and art,dance around the fire, and commune with nature and each another. While others of us would live and do all or none of these things for weeks or months on end or even year round if we so desired. There would be a common organic garden plot and central common houses for cooking bathing and gathering. Minimal electricity would be generated on-site by means of wind and or solar.
