 Aloha from Molokai, Hawaii!
We welcome you to our home, and our beautiful island. The aim of our ministry is to help people understand that God's simple lifestyle and healing methods are REAL - Redemptive, Effective, Affordable and Lasting:
Redemptive - All healing comes from God. We want to show, in practical ways, that a Bible-based program is the healthiest and most fulfilling way to live.
Effective - Man's extremity is God's opportunity. We welcome people to our programs at almost any degree of physical impairment. The healthful surroundings, the fresh air and sunshine, the personal attention of caring people in a Christian atmosphere, these work together to enhance their learning experience, and their feeling of well-being. Even those with terminal diseases have discovered a greater level of comfort and peace when they apply these principles to their lives.
Affordable - In order to insure that the benefits of this God-given health knowledge be available to all who need it, our fees are low and depend on the type of program selected. Students may apply for discounts, and a limited number of scholarships are available for those who cannot pay.
Lasting - We are here to help people understand the difference between the right way and the wrong way to live. The benefits are conditional upon their willingness to incorporate into their daily lives the principles they have learned. People need to realize that they make choices every day, and the right choices can make a big difference in their lives.
To operate this ministry and keep our fees low, we need to develop other sources of income. Presently we are selling health-related products. We also accept a few people who need retirement housing. Moreover, we guide the tourists to the best and "hidden" ecological attractions in Molokai island, where there is no residential or commercial building higher than a coconut tree!
Our dream is to eventually make the entire operation self-sustaining. Right now our needs are great. Our facilities are overdue for upgrading. We still lack essential equipment.
Our industries support small projects in some countries, but any revenue received from your visit to Molokai, supports our efforts to help the local struggling persons of Molokai. The Kolapa House of Charity depends on the work we can find to keep our mission going.
Mahalo! Thank you so much.
