 Sukhiwat Mountain Meditation Institute
“…that which is sacred, immense, vast, formless, nameless is not created by mind, cannot be touched by mind.”
Sukhiwat Institute is watered by the teachings of the Buddha, J. Krishnamurti and Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj.
The Sukhiwat Institute is unique in its presentation. It follows no fixed tradition, yet is open to all, no matter your path or no-path. It teaches no religion, it stands outside of all spiritual practice.
Its purpose is to provide an environment in which one may awaken to “that which is sacred”. This awakening is the factor which transforms one’s life from the limited to the vast, from ignorance to reality.
Da Dennis, founder and preceptor has travelled around the world for four decades, dialoging with teachers, practicing meditation and offering instruments of awakening. Mostly he speaks from observing mind. He holds degrees in psychology, religious studies and body therapies.
The Institute offers residential programs for those seeking the immensity through the practice of their own way...
It also invites artists, writers and creative persons to take up residence and pursue their talents as well as investigating the silence within.
Volunteer programs also exist to help the sincere person who might be low on funds but who can pay a certain amount and work a few hours a day in agriculture, land maintenance and whatever needs to be done.
Welcome also are those who are ill and seek a natural place where they might cure themselves and relax.
There are few rules at Sukhiwat: attending meditation is encouraged because that is why one comes. The diet is vegetarian with much of the food organically grown. Drugs, alcohol and cell phones are not allowed.

“..There is a silence, a stillness within which is not created by a method, a technique, an organization cannot create it, or ritual or belief. It is beyond all of that…”
