Co-West? A Cohousing Adelaide Pre retirement village
Devon Park,
Australia
(South Australia)
We are a group of people in the formative stages of setting up a cohousing project in the NW of Adelaide South Australia. Retirement villages are becoming very popular with the older set and rightly so. We want to create a similar situation where people from all ages can enjoy the social and community benefits that cohousing has to offer eg a social, safe, supportive village atmosphere that creates and sustains a healthy, inclusive, creative and supportive physical and psychological environment for as diverse a range of people as possible who share a desire and commitment to create such a community. We also have an interest in ecological responsibility, permaculture, a tool library, gardening, developing happy children and having fun and useful lives. We intend exploring opportunities for developing our project jointly with community/state housing. WE want to hear from anyone who may be interested in joining with us.
