Broken Earth Darga & Healing Center
Independence, Virginia,
United States
(Opening)
Our community (Darga) is unlike any other community you have likely encountered. It meets people on their own level, thus there are no hard fast rules, dues, by-laws, and the like, making up most of the communities you are likely more accustom with.
Our spiritual guide and teacher once said,
"When you begin to plan, you begin to fail."
This is a profound statement that carries much meaning and perfectly describes what our community is all about. In striving to become true servants of God, one does not plan or organize, one submits his/her will and tries to become in perfect conformity to the Creators will. This is no easy task, but should it be easy? Achieving high levels or stations of spiritual advancement is never easy.
When you come, you are accepted on the level you are at. Those who have been blessed with much resources should rise to the challenge those gifts carry with it and contribute what they can to make the community a better place for all. Those blessed with talent but little in the way of material wealth, should contribute what they can and work to make the community better as a whole. Perhaps that is preparing meals, washing dishes, gardening, carrying for the sheep, etc. This does not mean that those who are rich should not work, or those who are poor should not contribute something within their means. This is the enchanting and magical environment that a Darga provides as it synergistically, holistically and organically grows and changes all the time according to the souls who come and the intentions of the people.
Working on the property is a therapy all it's own and families are encouraged to come and expose their children to the importance of simple healthy living where they can learn important life skills. Working with animals helps kids connect with the meaning of life and reduces depression and anxiety.
People come from all walks of life, all religious and spiritual paths, all socio-economic levels - rich, poor, young and old, all are welcome. You may stay an hour, day, week, month or several years.
Above all try to be humble!
Spiritual growth is not something that can be packaged and sold as so many are trying to do. It is a difficult and arduous journey - the most difficult thing you will ever undertake in your life.
Judaism, Christianity and Islam as practiced today, are for the most part, holding unto the law and rejecting the true way of spiritual enlightenment and advancement.
