The Swamp
Mackinaw City, Michigan,
United States
I have 20 acres of land near Lake Huron, in northern Michigan, and am looking for individuals or a small group interested in developing their own basic housing and living a sustainable lifestyle.
The land is mostly wooded, with approximately two acres cleared. Some land is slightly swampy in the spring. An area is available for gardening; some basic tools and implements can be shared. There is a variety of beekeeping equipment on site that is currently not being used, sufficient for at least 10 hives. Some trees may be felled for lumber for approved projects. Fallen timber is available for wood heating, etc. A sale of the property may also be considered. Interested parties should contact me to discuss their ideas and interests. Email contact is preferred.
