A healthy community, perhaps even our collective survival, depends on our ability to organize our collective affairs more wisely, in tune with each other and nature.
The agricultural mission of Ipsalu Eco Village is to produce food for community consumption and agricultural enterprise. Ipsalu Eco Village will be home to a genetic treasure house of plant and animal species suitable to a local and regional food system.
Ipsalu Eco Village will be located in Polk County, North Carolina, a happy place to live and certainly an ideal place for such happiness to be gathered together.
This particular property, with its acres of pasture and forest, streams, and pond, is already equipped with a 3000-sq-ft house, 3000-sq-ft 14-stall barn, and five other buildings. We have space for farming, small animals, a Waldorf school, campground, and individual businesses. Communing and sharing, reflecting, and healing are all very possible here.
As one of the members of the Planning Committee, you will have the right and privilege of enjoying living on 106 acres of open fields and mountain-forest property.
