| The vision for Family Village is that if we can co-exist in communities, then all people can live among many nations peacefully. By choosing to live communally, people let go of isolation and self-satisfaction and apply a new mentality, living for the common good. It is more humanitarian. People become supportive and compassionate rather than judgmental. Relationships evolve rather than being disposed of. There is trust rather than misconception. Conversations are more productive, strengths among people and nations are layered, and more is accomplished. Everyone feels empowered and purposeful. Communal living is the making of world peace, one person at a time.
Daily life provides many chances to polish the skills of mutual caring, self-discovery, and trust. Meal prep, work projects, and sharing resources are a few examples. People who have fun together are more connected, so the idea is to do lots together, such as outings, recreational games, camping/hiking trips, potlucks, jamming, movie nights, celebrations, and debates. Bartering, resource sharing, and group shopping and errands would save time and money so that the whole person can develop and have more time for living.
It is inevitable that different personalities will rub at some point. Discussions would be talked out lightly and positively, focusing on the future goals and an overall vision of caring for the well-being of the whole, through acceptance and inner objectivity. With that in mind, much can be averted.
There is no religious affiliation. This community would work best for those who live on the west side of Toronto.
