Ecovillage Viver Simples is a project designed by Brazilians and by foreigners that is being established in the region of Morro Grande, south of Minas Gerais. It is a new community that has as its goal an alternative way of living, with better quality of life and focus on spiritual growth. We look for more integration with nature, through sustainability and by learning and respecting nature, using Taoist techniques and others. We will develop and disseminate knowledge to society, always in harmony with the neighboring communities, conserving their culture and wisdom. In order to preserve the biodiversity and to offer to the local landowners alternative means of subsistence, the Ecovillage Viver Simples counts on the artistic, technical, and scientific knowledge of its founders. To reach its goal, the Ecovillage established itself in a privileged place in nature, predominantly rural, lacking technological and cultural initiatives. In this environment, a common area is being built: a place for meditation where courses of Taoist and other philosophies will be given as well as courses on ecology and arts; therapeutic rooms that will offer natural techniques for treatment; a technological center, dedicated to research and dissemination of knowledge; and a chalet for lodging.
Status: We had finnished the first stage of our buildings; 20 bedrooms and a community restaurant.
