Simple Living Organic Economy
N. America,
United States
Seeking those ready to abandon the Western (Romanesque) mindset of consumerism; to be freed of the addictions to mammon, materialism, oil, shopping, grocery stores, processed foods, etc. Desiring to be set free from contributing to landfills, air/water pollution, and general planet-trashing. The goal here is to live debt-free & chemical-free! This will be a village but the final location and format will be the result of those most directly and actively involved. As a Village Builder, all I need is the land and the basic building materials, to construct small cottages and thus a cottage industry. Growing organic food and permaculture will be core, as well as conservation and local trade/barter. This will be a collective of the religious and the non-religious, but with religious recruitment prohibited. It is important that everyone live their convictions, not become salesmen of them. Suffice it to say, one cannot Love, and also trash the Creation (God weeps, looking upon the Earth). Participants will use non-petroleum transportation; convert gas to electric or bio-d, or buy other alternative energy vehicles (hydrogen fuel cell, etc), utilizing public transportation as much as possible (local or national), and walk!
The goal is security by living/being independent of the Capitalist economy; un-invested with it, disconnected from it, economically. We will be self-sufficient, so that if the larger economy suffers, we will not. We will sell what humans must buy (no matter what); quality food. How about some alpacas, goats or chickens! Again, all things will be Determined by Consensus! Your input is as necessary as is your participation. Be the change you wish to see in the world. Please visit website and go through it first; get the generic directives. Most questions will be answered therein. If you have a listing in IC, and find we are on the same basic page, lets communicate. I do not care how this comes about, so long as it Happens; agreed?! I'm ready to join another community, established or forming. Who cares about semantics, lets get this thing going! The best active Community model I've seen thus far is Dancing Rabbit!
