Moonlight Meadows
United Kingdom
This community used to be known as Cherry Blossom Farms. We were never able to form a community so some of the members have moved on.
Now as Moonlight Meadows we are embracing much of the same philosophy, sustainability, a simpler way of life and an open spirituality and culture. We are not looking to drop out of society, but instead build a more peaceful, slower way of life that others can learn from. We are also looking to put together a pagan/wizarding community. Do you read your kids Beedle the Bard instead of Mother Goose? Do you believe that there is magic in the world and that people should be free to believe whatever they want? Then this might be the place for you!
We want to turn back the clock, no cars, electricity optional or perhaps kept to a community center, where we make our own clothes, bake our own bread, celebrate the seasons, raise animals, make crafts and celebrate the arts. We also want to be a place that welcomes all, regardless of nationality, gender, sexuality, philosophy, able-bodiedness, age, health, Witch, Wizard, Muggle or Squib. We ourselves are not British citizens, but are trying to remedy that and would like to help others looking for a new life as well. We would like to open a business to help pay expenses, rents, etc. We would use a profit sharing scheme from the business and if people wanted to work outside the community that money would belong to them. We would also like to run a community school to teach more than just the basics including arts, Herbology, Ancient Runes, creativity, caring and any other classes kids and adults would actually like to take.
We are looking for a place with a few acres of land, perhaps an old Manor or an old farm that we can fix up. We highly welcome any members that already have a place we could use. We would like somewhere in the west of England, Oxfordshire, the Cotswolds or the East or West Coast of Scotland, but we also know that beggars can't be choosers and it's a beautiful kingdom all around. So if this sounds good to you, please contact us. We would like to get going as soon as possible.
