Silver City Cohousing
Silver City, New Mexico,
United States
(in the historic downtown)
Bullard Street
We are a planning group dedicated to creating a small cohousing community in a remodeled downtown building in Silver City, New Mexico. We previously met for 5 years to build on some land, but that didn't work out, so this is our new plan.
Silver City is an historic town of 10,000 friendly and diverse people in the southwest corner of New Mexico. We are located in high desert country (6000 ft) bordering the Gila National Forest, and have a dry climate with four mild seasons. We have a natural food co-op, a small university, a community-radio planning group, and 36 art galleries.
  Status: Tired but hopeful
