Woodhenge
Adams Center, New York,
United States
Woodhenge was formed by Jim and Krista Juczak. It is located in northern New York State. It has 55 acres of farmland and mixed fields. Woodhenge currently is the home for two families and one single man. A family of four has broken ground for their straw bale home and is busy collecting supplies and saving money for the project. We have several housing units; all are alternative constructed and mortgage free. Woodhenge is off-grid and makes its power with wind and sun. We are in the process of forming a CSA. We teach self-reliance skills on and off campus that include green and sustainable building practices, home-brewed electrical systems, food growing and storage systems, and self-defense for the pacifist.
