 Self Sustaining Community Project.
Answers to a few questions before you have to ask them.
1.
Why do this project?
It is becoming more and more evident that the world is heading for some sort of disaster. It's self evident with the pending problems of peak oil, climate change and the everyday pressures that seems to be stretching people relationships and family's to breaking point. It's obvious that the world is at / or near a tipping point. I won't go into to much details here other than to put the following links here so you can see for yourself what's happening.
* Peak Oil - National Geographic story
* Peak Oil – 4 Corners Online Video
* Oil Crisis Free Ebook
* Peak Oil Explained in Brief
2.
What is involved in this project.
This is to be a new community. The difference with this community and our what most call normal suburbia is that we will be totally self sufficient.
* The community will grow, catch harvest farm it's own food.
* And generate it's own electricity without the involvement or petroleum products.
* And supply all the water for it's needs.
The community like the in the old days will have its specialists. Engineers, Builders, farmers, ect...
The dwellings will be of simple design with but with the added technology of solar electricity and hot water to assist the communitys main grid to cope with peak supply.
The community will choose 12 members to be the leaders this will form the leadership council. These positions will be purely voluntary and the members selected will receive no financial reward other than the gratitude and admiration of the community.
There will be no class structure. All living in the community will be equal.
While each community member is responsible for themselves and their family. They also have a responsibility to the community and to assist other community members in times of need. This supports the foundation of the community. The success of this will be up to everyone.
3.
What do we need to get this project going?
To get this project started firstly we need to form the foundations of the leadership group.
12 leaders each with their own specialty to contribute to this Community Project.
The final community size will depend upon the strengths and ability's of the 12 founding council members.
This is an important project.
It will give people a friendly alternative to turn to when they run out of options. It will save lives and keep families together, nothing can be more important than that.
This is a non profit project
We need people with a community spirit and a willingness to do somthing special to help others build a better future. To build a community based on the well being of human beings putting peole above things. We are looking for people with a vision to make something great and to do somthing great. and most of all be a part of this community built on love and fairness. Those that have the capability to invest in the project with money, time, property and what ever other resources the project needs are welcomed.
I will say it again - This is an important project.
The financial structure of the project has not been formailised yet but the basic structure will be of non profit – with any funds being administered by the 12 council leaders. In consultation with community members.
The writing of a constitution for the community will ensure that all members from the formation will have equality and protection as a community member and for their family and for future generations. This will be our way to guarantee a safe and sustainable future for our familys and the community.
