A residential group of hermits or solitaries (and other religious in communities or domestic monasteries) living together (or alone) for the mutual benefit and protection of the whole. We have communities in MANY countries.
http://sites.google.com/site/trinityprioryinternational/
Each person is respected for the level of solitude he or she desires and great efforts are taken by all to ensure that the sanctity of that solitude is never broken under any circumstances.
Members live in individual residences at the hermitage.
This is the international residential centre, we have other small residential communities in other countries. We also have novitiate training for monastics - in community or in their own homes, by correspondence.
We are interdenominational and for pastoral purposes use different rites, eg Orthodox Liturgy, western rites, etc.
We also offer silent worship or meditation.
Like all contemplatives from all religions (or none as is the case with humanists or secularists) we focus on the present NOW moment. This practice existed for thousands of years, (long before Eckart Tolle and Oprah sensationalized it with their 500,000 members 'studying' this subject on internet). Contemplatives from all faiths (like Eastern Orthodox Christians, western Christian contemplatives, centring prayer, zen, Vedanta's self-realization, etc) all emphasize the moment when one breathes, as the moment when alone one exists, is alive, conscious, living.
Everyone of goodwill is welcome.
Contact us by email.

Trinity Priory, in the Free State of South Africa, is home to the hermit, +John, his four dogs, and guests from time to time who come for spiritual guidance or help entering various monasteries. It is a place of prayer and presence. It is a place where the cacophony of life stills and God is apparent. No need to clutter the air speaking pious platitudes--it's about spiritual life lived seriously, but with great joy.
Most of the day, it is steeped in silence, living prayer. Its hermit, like most, does his own shopping and takes care of hermitage and its yard. He sees himself as a universal brother, welcoming all where they find themselves in the given moment, the only reality. Many hermits, of various traditions, and some monasteries are loosely affiliated with the Priory, but retain membership in their own traditions or none.
Fr Kevin, Deacon Francis, Priestmonk Trevor, Brothers Dominick and Donovan, and Sisters Elna, Angela and Helen--the latter three also Anglican priests--are attached to the Priory as well.
+John runs a Yahoo group of over 465 members, called "monasterion" and a much more intimate group at ning.com called Hermitary, offering support to serious hermits, solitaries and those living in the present moment.
Dr. Angel Francisco Sanchez Escobar (+Claudio) and his priests in Spain are associates of the Trinity Priory as is Joyful Heart Hermitage in the United States.

Statement of Housing Non-discrimination:
Our community fits the legal definition of "housing for older persons" * and thus we may restrict membership/residency to those of a certain age and may have limits on child membership/residency in accordance with the law. Our community does not discriminate based on race/color, national origin, religion, sex/gender, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, ancestry, source of income, creed, personal appearance, political affiliation, HIV infection, military/veteran status, unfavorable military discharge, gender identity or expression, receiving public assistance, or domestic abuse.

Our community does not discriminate in regards to housing based on race/color, national origin, religion, sex/gender, family status (i.e. having children, not having children, or being pregnant), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, ancestry, source of income, age, creed, personal appearance, political affiliation, HIV infection, military/veteran status, unfavorable military discharge, gender identity or expression, receiving public assistance, or being the victim of domestic abuse.

Because our housing is a single housing unit and requires the sharing of bathroom, kitchen and common space membership/residency may be restricted based on sex/gender in accordance with the law. Our community does not discriminate based on race/color, national origin, religion, family status (i.e. having children, not having children, or being pregnant), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, ancestry, source of income, age, creed, personal appearance, political affiliation, HIV infection, military/veteran status, unfavorable military discharge, gender identity or expression, receiving public assistance, or domestic abuse.

Our community is a legally sanctioned church or religious organization and living in our community is restricted to members of that religion as allowed by law. Our religion does not discriminate based on race, color, or national origin. Housing in our community is non-commercial (i.e. not intended to make a profit).

Our community does not provide land or housing and is therefore not subject to fair housing laws.
