Prairiemoon sustainable living
Cedar Rapids, Iowa,
United States
Prairiemoon is a small multigenerational co-op in an urban community engaged in sharing and growing personally and intentionally while creating a smaller, greener footprint in an urban setting. We currently own a large dwelling on a three-quarter acre lot in a medium size city in Iowa. Our membership is regrouping after the passing of our matriarch and we are accepting flexible, communal minded members. We need members who are willing to contribute work outside the community to provide income for shared costs as well as share in all the day to day activities inside and out. We have a number of projects designed to improve the energy efficiency of our property and more gardens to be planted. We hope to be able to create a calm, healthy oasis in the city and so we are seeking peaceful, hard working members with open hearts and a dream for a simple, green life to share with others. As always, members must enjoy kids, dogs and grannies.
