Loh El
Ottawa, Ontario,
Canada
I am Graeme “Loh El” O’Farrell, a young cultural revolutionary living in Ottawa and working as a musician and poet. I am gradually building up the resources and more importantly the friendships that will make the universal human dream a reality: to live in peace, harmony, and abundance on Earth. I require much more experience in various skills, as well as a supportive community, before pursuing a homeland.
I consider myself a spiritual being in a human experience, on a path towards a sustainable and just society.
I am looking for friends, family, volunteers, business partners, and other communities to network with.
The goal is to create an arts collective / land trust organization which has at the center of its mandate to
1) acquire, protect, restore and inhabit pristine land by building zero-ecological-footprint natural residential infrastructure for humans to live in the wild, and
2) to employ, teach, offer support and fundraise with local artists by co-operatively managing long-term careers in the local arts community.
3) the ultimate goal of such a communal organization is to initiate an eco-village and an arts school for ethical living.
Principles:
We are all one people, living on one planet, under one sun, in one galaxy, in the universe.
All people are free to do whatever they want to do.
Withholding freedom from others (oppression) in violence or disrespect, whether to planet, property, or people, is unethical.
Suffering is natural and inevitable.
Fear begets violence, love begets peace.
Freedom of expression in art, culture, religion, philosophy, and politics is essential to human health.
Sustainable cooperative livelihoods empower ourselves, our communities, our nations, and our world.
Power is distributed by the people for the people when the people are aware of themselves.
When the people are able to sustainably clothe, feed, and house themselves there will be a basis for peace.
In the absence of awareness, there is chaos.
In the presence of awareness, there is metamorphosis.
My dream is to develop a self-sustaining community that can authoritatively show by example that the current social structure is not working and that a better future, a sustainable future, and a peaceful world are in fact possible. This will only be possible with the collaboration of our human brothers, sisters, children, and parents.
