Glass Center for Sustainable Community
Joinerville, Texas,
United States
Founded in autumn of 2007, the Glass Center is located on a large historic farm in east Texas. Our primary focus is to reach and to teach sustainability on a community level.
We want to provide space for individuals to express themselves while working toward common goals, such as sustainable food, shelter, and energy.
This place is a haven for artists, writers, and musicians who happen to enjoy manual labor.
Some current projects include organic farming, raising chickens and goats, aquaculture, vermiculture, and biodiesel production; we're also working to retrofit our preexisting structures toward Green.
As we strive for personal and collective transformation, we encourage peace and compassion in the world.
