Lórien
6730,
Belgium
We are looking for people to join us…
Lórien is named after Tolkien’s land of dreams, in the Eternal Lands: gardens with fountains of crystal waters that strengthen those who drink from them. It belongs to the Vala Irmo, Master of Dreams. And it is here that resides Estë, he who offers peace to all those suffering. ..... We find this very inspiring....
Lórien is located on the outskirts of a small village, called Poncelle, next to beautiful woods.
Poncelle is in the very South of Belgium, the cleanest region of the country.
7 Km. further is a main train station, an experience based Freinet school and the highway.
There are 1900 m2 of unachieved buildings on the terrain that we are slowly transforming into a cohousing for 17 houses. With the revenues we will build a 520 m2 completely ecologic building that offers a small infrastructure able to lodge groups, a hall, working place, kitchen...
We will offer a platform for interrelation with room for workshops like yoga and tai chi.
Recycled materials are being used, rainwater will be recovered and heating is done by self-built ceramic stoves, heating walls and sun collectors. In time we will treat the waste waters.
Important are ecology, conviviality, true-self and no dogmas.
Currently we are 6 families with 3 young children. Our nationalities are Belgian, Swedish, Dutch and Spanish.
