Ananda is a spiritual community. We are located in Rancho Cordova, a suburb of Sacramento, California. There are 63 residents living in 52 apartments on about three acres.
We are disciples of the Yoga Master Paramhansa Yogananda. We meditate together each morning and share meals together several times a week. The community is an exemplary environment that affords truth-seekers an opportunity to create a lifestyle founded on universal spiritual principles and a personal inner life.
Our church is located nearby and serves a congregation of more than 1,000. In our church facility we teach classes on yoga, meditation, and yoga philosophy that are open to all. Services are offered on Sunday mornings, as is Sunday School for children three years and older.
