Austin Area Ecovillages
Austin (area), Texas,
United States
We are a mix of computer professionals, engineers, artists, gardeners, inventors, teachers, developing scientists, etc. We share a desire to live in an intentional community that is environmentally responsible, low-stress, and socially liberal.
We are in the planning stages of developing several ecovillage pods. We welcome new members with experience or interest in harnessing renewable energy sources, building eco-safe homes and water catchments, organic farming and ranching, etc., as well as in developing new eco-technologies.
Several sub-communities have already been established. Some have land already, while others are currently shopping for land near the Austin, Texas, area. Please see our website for more information.
Status: The group has grown and is breaking off into smaller groups, each with their own vision and land.
