Home Ecovillage Project
Brighton, England,
United Kingdom
(No land yet! East Sussex)
We are a group of about 100 adults (and growing) intending to build an ecovillage near Brighton, UK. We intend the village to eventually have about 100 adults, and to be rural or semi-rural. Our economy will be based on agriculture, crafts, a school, a healing arts centre, a birthing centre, and whatever other businesses people bring or build. Our ecology will be carbon negative and biodiversity positive, through low- or negative-impact buildings, permaculture, and conservation. The culture of this community will be cooperative, artistic, and celebratory, including kids and elders. In spirit, we see one mountain but many paths, with a commitment to truth-telling and learning as strategies for embracing shadow stuff. We will continue to clarify as we work toward getting on the land. Visit our website to help us vision!
