Alone Together Hermitage
Galena, Missouri,
United States
(Near Cape Fair, Missouri)
Our group is the ultimate paradox. A group of hermits and loners living together for the mutual benefit and protection of the whole.
Each person is respected for the level of solitude he or she desires and great efforts are taken by all to ensure that the sanctity of that solitude is never broken under any circumstances.
Members live in individual residences at the hermitage and a sophisticated process of communication and notification has been developed so that no member is required to interact with any other if he or she does not desire to.
One goal of the Hermitage is to encourage our membership to follow sustainable methods of agriculture. We offer a comprehensive library to help members learn more about a healthful, wholistic lifestyle. There are many different levels of group participation.
We are currently in the process of planning and forming our community and hope to have it in full operation by 2008.
