(Central Coast/Northern)
We love Oaks and Redwoods, Bays, Madrones and Sycamores and all that goes with them. We wish to preserve a large portion of the land we are looking for in conservation and agricultural easements. We will be formed as a Land Trust and governed by consensus. We will meet once a week for potluck music and meetings, allow half shares in the community, be active in our community and remain totally committed to low impact, “permaculture” style infrastructure. Anything else including the real name(nickname was the heading) would be decided as a community when necessary.
The folks are currently about 12 people, a diverse group most of who have been committed to this project for 10 years while living our lives and learning skills. Anarchist soccer, bicycling and music creation are some activities generally agreed on to tell a little about us. Mostly vegetarians (not all)though no animals for slaughter will be kept.
Our areas so far are San Gregorio, Pescadero, Boony Doon Santa Cruz County or Mendocino County such as Albion, Mendocino, Ukiah, Anderson Valley....Possibly Big Sur or Marin.
We are looking for areas with the most community minded and co-op friendly lifestyles as well as our oaks and redwoods. If you know of one or are interested in finding out more please contact us.
Also If you know of someone who would wish to donate land, as well as live (including assisted by the community)or continue to ranch or farm after sale or donation we would be overjoyed to work something out.

Unijaima Ecovillage:

Q: What is an average rent for an individual at one of the co-ops in or around SF? I know somebody who's looking around and may need a little insight.
