Song of the Morning
Vanderbilt, Michigan,
United States
Song of the Morning Yoga Retreat Center is located on 800 acres in scenic northern Michigan. Guests are welcome to visit year-round for spiritual rest and relaxation.
Accommodations for up to 60 guests are available. We also have camping available in addition to indoor lodging. Delicious vegetarian meals are included in the reasonable lodging rates.
We feature regular programs focused on reaching a better understanding of ones physical, mental and spiritual potential. Various applications of the science of yoga are explored in a practical and scholarly manner. Our future vision is for these programs to evolve into a Yoga University.
We were founded by Yogacharya J. Oliver Black, a direct disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda. For over 40 years our focus has been to help people commune with their inner presence through yogic meditation. Ongoing services include our weekly Sunday service and evening meditation.
A river flows through this beautiful location, which features a network of trails and scenic overlooks. With a friendly staff to help guests enjoy their stay, we offer a rare opportunity for visitors to experience spiritual rest and relaxation in a supportive and nourishing environment.
We are also blessed with the growing Clear Light Community, which is populated by full-time residents who have chosen to build homes here and grow with us at Song of the Morning.
