Eagle Mountain Lake CoHousing
Dallas, Ft. Worth, Texas,
United States
We had planned on forming a four- to six-family cohousing development with individually owned homes and land on beautiful Eagle Mountain Lake, Texas. This did not work out, but we would still welcome neighbors who like the idea of cohousing. We could still share service contracts, watch others’ houses while they are gone, or collectively build a pool.
This land is gated and heavily wooded, two miles from schools and one mile from the Walmart in Azle, a city of 15,000. It is 12 miles from the museums and restaurants of Fort Worth and 15 miles from the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
We are not involved with the developer but just bought our beautiful lot with many giant trees. There are lots for sale in the $25,000 range (one block from the water) to the $129,000 range (on the water). Check www.realtor.com, and put in zip 76020 and “waterfront” to see what is currently listed. This is a new development, with only 15 lots, five on the water. It is not shown on Google Maps or Yahoo Maps.
We are currently building our house with AndersonSargent Custom Builder, who has built several cohousing and green developments in Dallas-Fort Worth. You may contact Vickie at 972-617-9897, or see their site at www.andersonsargent.com or www.zeroenergyhomedallas.com.
The developer’s representative is John Zimmerman, 817-247-6464, or http://escondidoeml.com/.
