Redevelopment of old school
The Washington Village in Boulder combines a unique vision with an outstanding site. Washington School is a 100 year old elementary school with high ceilings, extensive windows and offers exceptional views on a 3 acre site which is to be developed into a 34 unit cohousing community. Located at North Broadway and Cedar Street, the site is within 2 blocks of a Boulder Community Recreation Center and Community Garden. It is just two blocks from a full hospital as well as shopping center with a grocery store, bakery, coffee shop and more. You are also only seven blocks from downtown Boulder with excellent public transportation available.
The vision of the community is to provide a model sustainable environment which promotes wellness and a quality of life for proactive members through an approach focused on intergenerational and seniors which brings together the wisdom of our elders, interests in contemplative traditions and the providing of educational and arts activities.
