Flatlander's Inn
Winnipeg, Manitoba,
Canada
Flatlander's Inn a Christian intentional community that is especially welcoming to people who are at risk of homelessness. Flatlanders is located in the core area of Winnipeg which provides many opportunities to be hospitable to our neighbours.
There is a stable core of people who've committed long term to provide a welcoming, healing and hopeful atmosphere where transitional members become part of the community and gain strength in a variety of ways. Interns come for 6 months of learning and service.
We are looking for ways to level out the mountains that separate us from God and each other. We are scouring the valleys for overlooked, undervalued and hidden gifts in those our society would label "worthless". We want to participate in creating this "flatland" that is spoken of in Isaiah.
