Finnegan Farm
Buyck, Minnesota,
United States
Finnegan Farm is a 22-acre farm where we have a place for people to come and build shelters to learn to live off grid and have some peace and quiet. We have lived here 14-plus years and are willing to have others use the land to put up housing in exchange for watching the land while we are away.
We have dairy goats, sheep, and sled dogs. We are very active in gardening and have about a 1000 sq ft of good rich loamy top soil that’s getting larger every year. We have a keen interest in heirloom vegetables, and save and exchange seed with other local communities. We have been hauling water and will try putting in a well this year.
This property is located a half of mile back from Lake Vermilion, Minnesota. Forty miles long, with 365 islands, it sits at the entry of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. We are about 40 miles from Canada as the crow flies. Applicants will be able to design their own homes and live in them as long as they like. This property is free and clear. We do have small acreage lots available on contract for deed.
