Utah Valley Commons Logo
Utah Valley Commons, located south of Salt Lake City and close to Brigham Young University, welcomes participation by families and individuals interested in cohousing, ecovillage development, and sustainability in general. The UVCC has no religious or political affiliation. At present we are in the planning stage, with seven member families and sixteen children. The Commons will be located (probably) south of Provo, in the Spanish Fork area, on a site large enough to support small-scale organic agriculture. See our website for specific information on the group. Join our Yahoo discussion group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/utahvalleycohousing/) for updates. Newcomers are welcome to attend our potlucks and/or business meetings, generally every two weeks.
Our models are the EcoVillage at Ithaca(http://www.ecovillage.ithaca.ny.us/), Champlain Valley Co-Housing (http://www.champlainvalleycohousing.org), and Earthsong Eco-Neighborhood (http://www.earthsong.org.nz), suitably modified to local conditions.
