mist rolling onto the land
A new community is now forming into a model expression of all aspects of living from the times of our ancestors before the various diasporae into others lands and modern cultures. We have a tract of land situated in the northern foothills of the Missouri Ozark Mountains that adjoins our own land. We invite all with the passion for revival of the arts of living of our ancestors: all artisans and true handcrafters; those who are agriculturally inclined, eco-friendly, free from the bonds of organized religions and political correctness. We have good tillable land, beautiful views, great water, NO building codes, electricity to the property if needed, lagoons allowed, good soil, and friendly homeschooling laws. We hope that some will come and dwell here to experience a new life, others to spread their craft or skill to others so that it might live on, and that this might become the beginning of a new journey of enlightenment for all who would dare. We will always strive to maintain an environment that is beneficial to the family unit, which we believe to be the basis for any successful tribal community. We currently have a small flock of Merino & Border Leicester sheep, a fold of Scottish highland cattle, Sanaan dairy goats, a Jersey cow, fenced pastures, a barn, angora rabbit fiber production in housing, poultry housing, a 40x60 metal shop building that houses all the mechanical endeavors including bio-diesel production, visitor accommodation, a work-out room, large organic gardens, a fruit orchard, blackberry and wild plum harvesting, and a multi-medium artisans’ studio. This next year we hope to see the addition of a large communal masonry oven, a rainwater catchment system for irrigation, the completion of two greenhouses, and the introduction of solar water-pumping for both the well and cistern. While we encourage all to meet their energy needs in an eco-friendly manner, there is electricity to the property as well. Since there are no building codes here, the only approval needed for building plans will be from the Village members. We look forward to all future Village members as the cosmos brings each of your paths in alignment with ours. THE FUTURE IS THE PAST...WE ARE THE PEOPLE WE HAVE WAITED FOR...
