Looking South to the Common House
On the slopes of the mountain in Hobart, Tasmania a small cohousing project was completed in 2001 for low income Tasmanians. Organised as a Housing Co-operative, residents underwrite their non-equity housing with both rent and work in management, weeding and maintenance.
We are particularly proud of our environment for children. Only 6km from the GPO there is little between us and the Tasmanian west coast, and then ocean all the way to South America.
