Our community is in its infancy and developing along lines pioneered by others. Our aims are fraternity, organic farming practices, eco-responsibility, and a degree self-sufficiency. Solar electricity, gravity pumps, and other renewable sources of energy are our preferred options. We have no electricity transmission lines anyway.

Well-removed from the beaten track, we are located atop the Great Dividing Range in North Queensland, Australia, between two national parks.

Each shareholder has for his or her exclusive use five acres (approximately) of land. The balance, about 65,000 acres, is communal and reserved for nature. Our blogsite address is http://tuljun-boolaroo.blogspot.com/.

Statement of Housing Non-discrimination:

Our community does not discriminate in regards to housing based on race/color, national origin, religion, sex/gender, family status (i.e. having children, not having children, or being pregnant), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, ancestry, source of income, age, creed, personal appearance, political affiliation, HIV infection, military/veteran status, unfavorable military discharge, gender identity or expression, receiving public assistance, or being the victim of domestic abuse.

Our community does not provide land or housing and is therefore not subject to fair housing laws.

Population Open to new members: Yes	Government Decision Making: By a group of elders or other leaders (Before any decision on change of focus is taken the community is asked for input, Community initated matters are also encouraged) Identified Leader: Yes (The Public Officer is akin to Managing Director but can only act within decided policy) Leadership Core Group: Yes (Elected Directors)	Labor and Money Financial Style: Members have independent finances (There is also an internal LETS trading system which is independant of the federal$) Open to Members with Pre-existing Debt: Yes (unless bankrupted or in the hands of recievers) Labor Contribution: Expected (8 hours per month using the LETS system of exchange) Join Fee: Yes ($100 aplication fee and if accepted $40,000 (Aus) purchases a full share in the enterprise) Regular Fees: Yes (An annual fee not exceeding $370 (Aus) Anualy adjusted for CPI)
Land and Buildings Rural (Virgin Mountain Country) Area: 91591.6 acres (37065.8 hectares) (Each shareholder holds 2Hectacres for personal use and enjoyment although there are suggestions that we create a central village) Land Owned By: Independent land trust (not controlled by the community) (Traditional Owners hold primary lease of 475 Sq Kilometers. A registered agreement between The cooperative and he traditional owners ensures equity) Number of Residences: 1 (The total number of residences is limited to 130 .)
