Eucalyptus Hills
Lakeside, Eucalyptus Hills (San Diego), California,
United States
Eucalyptus Hills is a new community or group of organic roommates in a gorgeous, down-to-earth, private home nested in Eucalyptus Hills, Lakeside, in east San Diego County, California. The property is over one acre and there is space for five or six people. The place is wonderful and serene, with many fruit trees and surrounded by eucalyptus trees.
We are seeking ecologically-minded, preferably but not necessarily vegetarian roommates—absolutely non-smokers, and no drugs, please. Room rent starts at $439 per month, with work-exchange discounts available (you would still pay a minimum of $439). We are building a biointensive organic garden. Each member contributes one hour of community work each week (cooking, organic gardening, maintenance, etc.). We occasionally have lots of fun together and respect each other’s privacy as well. You should think of us more as a roommate situation than as a community at this point, except that we share common goals and a love for nature. We are professionals, cosmopolitan and creative, with various backgrounds. We do not like chemicals or loud noises. We live peacefully and simply, surrounded by a park-like setting in rural San Diego.
This location is seven minutes from the city of El Cajon, near La Mesa and Santee, and well-served by freeways (67 and 8). It takes 30 minutes by car to get to downtown San Diego. If interested, please e-mail your information.

Beautiful property! I volunteered in the garden and came away with a bountiful harvest. Nice people. It is still in the beginning stages, but it is great to be so close to town, yet a world apart. If you love quiet and rural, yet convenient, this is for you.
