Renaissance Humanist Community
United States
(Forming stage, Plan to locate in mid East Coast: PA, MD, WV, VA)
We are looking for a startup group of from 10 to 20 people to join in the initial forming of a truly human and progressive community with greater aspirations in mind. This will be a “retirement" community of folks who have retired nothing but the burden of a socially constrained way of thinking.
This would NOT be the place for you if you are looking for astral spirituality, counter culture, return to the land for a primitive existence, or if you feel that every species on the planet is somehow more important than human beings.
If on the other hand, you like the idea of rolling hills of gardened landscape surrounding common buildings, interwoven housing, commonly owned industries, and lots of good discussion and friendship located on the outskirts of a cultural center; if you see a common thread running through the names da Vinci, Brunelleschi, Beethoven, Einstein, and Gandhi; if you'd like to be involved in working on projects to find solutions to global issues like saving Africa, retooling the American economy, or redesigning the US military for peace, then this might just be what you have been looking for to give meaning to your life.
The plan is to build a Renaissance Humanist Community of individuals dedicated to the concept that the human mind can create a society where equality, fraternity, and liberty are expressed in production, art, education and throughout the entire fabric of human interaction, and where advanced technology is not a dirty word but a means for enhancing the general welfare of all citizens.
This will be a combined social experiment, a road map to a new way of thinking, a practical living environment, an educational facility, and a method for making an idea accessible to the world. In the broad scope of human social progress, this philosophy has been identified with the term Renaissance Humanism.
We invite you to come to our website and review our Manifesto, Constitution, and our draft Articles of Interpretation.
